RMTA Musical Theatre Competition

The primary goal of the RMTA Acting Competitions is educational. The secondary goal is to recognize and reward excellence in acting talent. The competitions offer recognition in four separate categories. Please click on the appropriate link below to download the entry forms and guidelines.

Process for Approval of Rights

If your school or organizations has an ASCAP or BMI license:

Go to www.ascap.com or www.bmi.com
Use the Search Box on the home page to search on the name of your song or composer.
If your song is listed, print the page and bring it with you to the competition.
Also bring a copy of your school's ASCAP or BMI license.
Send in the form above and write ASCAP on the permission form.
If the song is not licensed through either of these organizations then you MUST pursue another method such as contacting the publishing house (MTI, Sam French, R & H, etc).
