RMTA Auditions

The following auditions are held annually at the RMTA Festivention. These auditions offer opportunities to participants for academic scholarships and professional summer stock positions.

RMTA College/University Auditions

These auditions/interviews are conducted for competitive college and university scholarships and/or admission, and are open to high school juniors and seniors as well as college/university transfer students.

GUIDELINES:

1. Audition materials consist of two contrasting scenes with minimal necessary introduction and transition.

2. The time limit is 2 1/2 minutes for the entire audition.

3. If the student prefers, he/she may substitute a musical number for one of the scenes. A cassette player will be available for prerecorded accompaniment tapes. If a student is planning to include a musical number, he/she must circle "Musical Theatre" on the audition application. A Capella numbers are discouraged.

4. Technical theatre interviews will be handled in their own time slot.

    5. Students participating in this audition must pay the audition fee and RMTA dues. We strongly encourage students to register for Festivention in order to attend workshops and productions.

PLEASE NOTE: All students must complete the audition/interview application form and include a small passport size head shot pasted in the top right hand corner.
